COMMAND. CONTROL. COMPASSION.

Compilation Reel

Darren J. Wright spent twenty years building a financial services firm before he ever stood in front of a camera. It shows — not as polish, but as stillness. He plays the man who has already decided.

He works as a local in Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix, with eighteen film credits behind him and eight leading roles among them. He stars as Jessie Kovacs in the feature R.E.M, which he also executive produced, and appears in Durango Seems Like a Great Place to Die, Make the Devil Pay, Swipe Right, and Or Death. He led and co-directed Blood Sanctuary, and has produced seven projects.

The roles keep landing in the same territory: detectives and sheriffs, third-generation ranchers, executives with something buried, the father nobody argues with. Two decades of boardrooms and negotiations left him with a working knowledge of what a man looks like when he is carrying a decision he cannot hand to anyone else. The range that puts him convincingly behind a desk puts him just as convincingly on a horse.

Wright graduated from Arizona State University, where he trained in drama, and continues on-camera study with Howard Fine, James Dumont, Rod Rowland, and Christine Chauncey. He rides western, is trained in firearms and stage combat, and carries a coached Texan dialect.
